About the Institute for Applied Emotional Intelligence

Emotional intelligence
is a teachable human skill set.

The Institute exists to make that skill-building structured, developmentally responsive, and accessible — for every learner, in every community.

Mission 01

Mission Statement

The Institute for Applied Emotional Intelligence is clinically informed but educationally delivered — translating knowledge from clinical psychology, developmental science, mindfulness-informed regulation practice, neurodiversity-affirming approaches, and learning science into practical skill-building programs that make emotional intelligence teachable, developmentally responsive, and accessible to children, teens, neurodivergent learners, families, educational organizations, and communities.

Vision 02

Vision Statement

A world in which emotional intelligence is taught as a foundational human skill — with the same seriousness, structure, and care as literacy and numeracy — and made available to every learner, in every community, regardless of neurological profile or circumstance.

Advancing Human Potential
Through Science.
